HealthInsite has been constructed to display adequately on all commonly used browsers. Special features have been included to enable effective operation by persons using accessibility software, screen readers, etc. Best results will be obtained using Microsoft Internet Explorer v4 or newer, or Netscape Navigator v4 or newer.
HealthInsite is designed to appear at its best on a screen configured for 800 x 600 display using 16 bit (64,000) or more colours. It will also present acceptably on a 640 x 480 display using 256 colours.
The HealthInsite Home page is ideal for checking your browser settings. You should be able to see all options in the left-side navigation block, and the complete "How to get the very best from HealthInsite" image in the right-hand column.
If you are unable to see all of these, you may wish to reconfigure your browser (for example, by dragging the Links bar onto the same line as the Address window).Your present display settings are:
Note that colour display is the number of binary digits used to represent each pixel on your display screen. 256 colours requires a depth of 8 bits. If you have a setting lower than 8 bits (256 colours), the colour depth will read "insufficient" and we recommend that you increase the number of colours in your display for best use of HealthInsite.
Effort has been made to ensure compliance with W3C WAI and Australian recommendations for accessibility. HealthInsite has been awarded a level "A" accessibility rating by WebSavvy, the University of Toronto Adaptive Technology Resource Center. We would appreciate your comments through feedback on any areas which cause problems for visitors with disabilities.HealthInsite makes extensive use of Allaire Cold Fusion software and some functions within the site require that a small Cold Fusion plug-in be installed into the visitor's browser (to enable client-side form validation). This process will happen automatically, and transparently to most visitors. You may receive a warning message that a plug-in is being installed. This is most likely to happen when you are completing the HealthInsite enrolment form.
HealthInsite makes extensive use of Javascript for enhancement of presentation (mouseover animations, etc). If your browser is not capable of handling Javascript, you will see a functional (though unenhanced) version of the same material.
While HealthInsite itself does not require the use of browser plug-in software, this may be required by sites referenced from HealthInsite. Plug-ins such as Macromedia Flash Player, Real Media Player and others are available free of charge from their respective Web sites, and also generally available on CD-ROMs provided with PC magazines.Printing
