NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner launched Australia’s first 'pop-up' rapid HIV testing site today, which offers free tests and results within 30 minutes.
The caravan – which aims to promote the ease and importance of HIV testing to at-risk people – will operate in Taylor Square, Darlinghurst (NSW) from tomorrow until Sunday, which is World AIDS Day.

Health authorities are concerned about the number of measles outbreaks in Australia this year – often involving teenagers and young adults. Only in Queensland there have been 24 people notified with measles so far this year, three of whom were school aged and one toddler.
There have also been measles outbreaks occurring in other states, with young children and school aged children infected.
